POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring that Revoice’s vision is translated into clear plans and executed with excellence. This role works closely with the Executive Director to serve as the primary integrator of the organization, coordinating work across teams so that priorities are aligned and projects are completed effectively. The Director of Operations leads organizational systems, project management, financial coordination, and execution—freeing the Executive Director, President, and other leaders to focus on vision, ministry leadership, and external relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Operations & Organizational Systems

  • Design, implement, and refine operational systems and workflows across the organization

  • Ensure clarity in priorities, timelines, and execution across teams

  • Establish and maintain internal processes for planning, communication, and accountability

  • Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement efforts

Staff Management & Organizational Alignment

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership across staff

  • Support team leads in planning, prioritization, and execution

  • Strengthen internal communication rhythms and cross-team coordination

  • Partner with the Executive Director and HR (Director of Organizational Care & Philanthropy) on staffing structure, role clarity, and performance systems

Financial Oversight & Budget Management

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with the Executive Director and external finance partners

  • Monitor budget performance, expenses, and cash flow

  • Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to support leadership decisions

  • Strengthen financial systems, controls, and planning processes

  • Collaborate with fractional financial partners (controller, bookkeeping) as needed

(Note: This role oversees financial management but does not require CPA-level responsibilities.)

Conference Operations & Execution

  • Oversee all operational and logistical aspects of the annual Revoice Conference

  • Coordinate timelines, vendors, venue logistics, and execution plans

  • Partner with program leadership to ensure seamless integration between content and logistics

  • Lead post-conference evaluation and operational improvements

(Note: This role supports logistics, not program or theological leadership of the conference.)

Compliance, Risk, & Organizational Integrity

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies

  • Maintain operational policies, documentation, and systems

  • Support audit readiness and financial transparency efforts

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks

Technology & Systems Infrastructure

  • Oversee organizational tools and platforms (project management, financial systems, etc.)

  • Ensure systems support staff efficiency and organizational clarity

  • Lead evaluation and implementation of new tools as needed

Strategy, Metrics, & Executive Support

  • Serve as a key thought partner to the Executive Director on organizational strategy and execution

  • Translate strategic priorities into operational plans

  • Track key metrics and organizational performance indicators

  • Help ensure that vision is effectively implemented across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 5–8+ years of experience in operations, nonprofit leadership, or organizational management

  • Proven ability to build and manage systems, teams, and processes

  • Strong financial literacy (budgeting, reporting, planning)

  • Experience working in a mission-driven or faith-based organization

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skillsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Preferred

  • Experience in a growing nonprofit (~$500K–$2M budget range)

  • Experience supporting executive leadership or serving in a second-in-command role

  • Familiarity with conference or event operations

  • Experience working in complex or resource-constrained environments

  • Master’s degree in business, organizational leadership, or related field

  • Requires reliable access to a workspace free from significant interruptions or hazards

  • Requires the ability to travel occasionally for in-person meetings, conferences, or events

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a work vehicle when requested

  • This role requires prolonged periods of working at a computer, participating in virtual meetings, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $90,000–$100,000, depending on experience. This role is designed for a leader who is energized by building systems, strengthening teams, and helping a mission-driven organization grow. While compensation reflects our current organizational capacity, the scope of leadership, ownership, and long-term impact in this role is significant.
