A Monthly Rhythm of Prayer, Presence, and Quiet Belonging
A quarter-note rest marks a brief, intentional pause in music. It creates space for listening before the next note begins.
In a world that moves fast and often loud, many of us long for a gentler pace, a space to breathe, to listen, and to remember that God is near. Cadence is Revoice’s new monthly prayer gathering, created especially for LGBTQ+ and same-sex attracted Christians who desire a community-supported rhythm of silence, Scripture, and encounter with God.
This is not group counseling or therapy. It’s a spiritual practice, a shared moment of stillness, reflection, and gentle guidance. Cadence offers a curated space where you can step away from noise, enter into quiet with others who understand your story, and meet the Lord in ways that renew your spirit.
Our Vision
Emerging from our community’s longing for deeper spiritual rest, Cadence offers a shared rhythm of quiet, grace, and nearness to God. Many LGBTQ+/SSA believers carry loneliness, exhaustion, or a longing for deeper spiritual grounding. We believe that contemplative practices like silence, Lectio Divina, creative reflection, and imaginative prayer can offer real nourishment —and that practicing them together can create a sense of safety and connection that solitude alone rarely provides.
Our hope is simple:
That you would encounter God’s kindness in the quiet.
That you would discover new rhythms of spiritual rest and renewal.
That you would feel less alone as you pursue a faithful life with Jesus.
what to expect
Cadence gathers virtually on the last Saturday of every month at 11 am. Each meeting is loosely guided with an intentional pattern:
A theme for reflection
A short Scripture or prayer practice
Space for silence, listening, and creative engagement
Optional sharing for those who feel led (it’s always OK to opt out)
A closing blessing
You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels safe. Keeping your camera off and using a pseudonym is always okay, many in our community need added layers of privacy and security. And even with these additional privacy measures, we want everyone to know they are welcome to join and participate in the way that feels right for them.
