NEW KINSHIP
New Kinship is a podcast where we are exploring and renewing ideas of desire, ethnicity, sexuality, and being a neighbor in the Kingdom of God. Together we are pursuing the communion and shalom of the church and the world, so pull up a chair and join the conversation! In our show, we have particular interest in thinking about how Christians who are queer/SSA/LGBT+ can flourish in the Church and in the apostolic and orthodox Christian sexual ethic. Additionally, we are eager to talk about roots and place in a way that can be of use to all people in our late-modernist capitalist age. Our co-hosts, David Frank, TJ Espinoza, Tyler Parker (and sometimes Elena!), gladly situate our lives and work within Side B, post-liberal, localist, and multi-ethnic perspectives, and we invite guests from other perspectives to cultivate with us conversations of charity and nuance.
WHISPERS IN THE WIND
Whispers in the Wind is an organization that provides training and consulting resources for church leaders and offers Spiritual Direction / Spiritual Care to church staff and the queer community.
As a spiritual director, I [Lesli] am a privileged witness in the spiritual unfolding of another person. The focus is on the relationship between the “directee” and God, rather than on the relationship between the director and directee. As a Spiritual Care giver, I provide triage to those facing various crises and turning points, as well as longer-term goal-oriented sessions. This is also a more interactive form of Spiritual Direction.

Eden Invitation is a communal movement for Catholics and Christians with LGBTQ+ experiences. We believe abundant life in Christ is possible for people with LGBTQ+ experiences– we can thrive in fidelity to the Church’s wisdom about sexuality and the human person. We strive to create a space where someone can receive their whole person (the beauty and the mess), grow friendships of mutual support, and be empowered to live creative discipleship, however God is inviting them to love and serve over the course of their lifetime.
