Resonate is a 10-month journey broken into three modules. Each module weaves together teaching videos, testimonies, reflection exercises, and live, guided coaching conversations led by trained LGBTQ+/SSA (same-sex attracted) facilitators. Together, these elements help you apply what you’re learning directly to your church context.

Resonate offers more than study—it offers shared discipleship rooted in relationships and a community of practice. It is designed for the local church and led by LGBTQ+/SSA Christians. Whether you’re a regional group, a denomination, or a network of local churches, we will work alongside you to cultivate a discipleship culture that truly resonates. This journey draws leaders into connection, not just content; into personal and communal transformation, not just information.

Over the course of ten months, we’ll help your church to clarify its vision, refine its policies, and create pathways for the flourishing of LGBTQ+/SSA people in your midst. And when the cohort ends, you won’t be alone—you’ll have access to an ongoing network of pastors, ministry leaders, and allies who are putting these commitments into action.

What you'll experience

Tuning In to Context

Begin by listening deeply—first to your congregation, then to your leadership team, and finally to the LGBTQ+/SSA people you long to disciple.

  • Month 1: Assess your church’s current approach to LGBTQ+/SSA discipleship, while reflecting on your own posture, comfort, and areas for growth.

  • Month 2: Explore the wider Church’s historic relationship with LGBTQ+/SSA communities and learn to distinguish between moral issues and cultural patterns.

  • Month 3: Engage testimonies from LGBTQ+/SSA Christians that nurture compassion and vision, while developing habits of ongoing self-reflection to sustain and empower your leadership.

By the end of Module 1, you’ll have fresh clarity about your context and the spiritual posture needed to guide your church with courage, wisdom, and care.

Composing the Score

In this module, you’ll build a biblically rooted framework for flourishing—one that resonates with both truth and love and gives shape to your church’s discipleship vision.

  • Month 4: Identify the key “ingredients” of a flourishing vision while engaging biblical teaching about sexuality that goes deeper than the typical proof-texts.

  • Month 5: Draft policies and guidelines that dignify LGBTQ+/SSA Christians and reflect your community’s theological convictions.

  • Month 6: Discover how LGBTQ+/SSA Christians can serve and bless the church; engage testimonies of flourishing discipleship in real congregations.

By the end of Module 2, your church will have a living vision of flourishing discipleship, supported by draft policies and practices that faithfully reflect your theological tradition.

Resonant Discipleship

This final module helps you apply what you’ve learned in practical, relational ways—discipling real people in your congregation with both conviction and compassion.

  • Month 7: Learn how to care for LGBTQ+/SSA youth and their parents; begin shaping family-centered practices that nurture belonging.

  • Month 8: Explore how to support and empower singles; consider cultural and programmatic shifts that strengthen community.

  • Month 9: Develop clear “paths of life” for LGBTQ+/SSA Christians in your church; hear testimonies of congregations where discipleship truly resonates.

By the end of Module 3, you’ll be equipped with practical tools, relational practices, and a clear framework to disciple LGBTQ+/SSA people with conviction and compassion.
