Rahil found Your Other Brothers almost 8 years ago through an (insert all positive and grateful words!) intern during a short term missions program. That journey for self-discovery and understanding community has only grown through connection to Revoice and a local MoM chapter. Adil spends most of her time with the local international community in Central, Ohio through a non-profit and is finishing up a Master’s of Art in Human Migration and Islamic studies. When not working or studying, she enjoys being outside with her husband and foster children.
Andrew is a missionary, teacher, and communicator with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and the University of the Nations. For over nine years, Andrew has been devoted to equipping and mobilizing young people into global missions. Based in Vancouver, Canada, he serves as a Biblical Studies teacher and leads the communications department at YWAM Vancouver. His mission is to disciple the next generation with a solid foundation in God’s Word, empowering them to live out the Gospel in every sphere of society. With a heart for practical service and cross-cultural outreach, Andrew’s vision is to see lives transformed, communities reached, and nations impacted by the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
Angel is a licensed mental health therapist and group practice owner who is passionate about integrating emotional health and Christian discipleship. She founded her practice to empower clients, clinicians, and ministry leaders to pursue lasting wellness and wholehearted lives. Angel is especially committed to helping believers—particularly LGBTQ+/SSA Christians—grow into resilient, faithful followers of Jesus through counseling, mentoring, and discipleship-focused care.
Jessica serves as InterVarsity’s Associate National Director of Discipleship & Leadership, equipping leaders nationwide at the intersection of mission, discipleship, and leadership. With over 14 years of ministry experience, she is passionate about developing emerging leaders, cultivating diverse communities of belonging, and fostering Christ-centered hospitality on campus and beyond. She holds a master’s degree in Global Leadership: Missiology from Fuller Seminary. Since 2019, Jessica has also served as InterVarsity’s first Human Sexuality Resource Specialist, where she co-created The Big Story of Human Sexuality online course with Greg Coles and trains leaders to engage LGBTQ+/SSA ministry with a missiological and compassionate approach. Outside of ministry, Jess enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, and traveling cross-country in her Airstream with her Aussiedoodle, Maple, with a goal of visiting all 63 national parks.
Carolyn is a writer, editor, speaker, and political activist who has spent the last 6½ years learning to live with physical and neurocognitive disability as a result of Long COVID. Passionate about encouraging people to marinate in the Scriptures, pray honestly and often, and practice gratitude, wonder, and hope, she has been teaching the Bible for over 50 years, mentoring people spiritually for over 40, and shepherding a house church for over 30. Carrie helps administer a Side B Community–a private online community of over 700 LGBTQ+ Christians–and co-leads Harbor, a Revoice community group for young LGBTQ+ adults. A lesbian and gender minority, Carrie has been married to the only boy she ever dated for 47 years.
Isaac is an Associate Pastor at New Frontiers Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where he has served on the leadership team since 2020. He is deeply committed to the local church as a place of spiritual formation, belonging, and mission, and is passionate about cultivating communities that reflect the grace and hospitality of Jesus. Isaac has a particular heart for mission and for building bridges with those outside the church, especially those who have been wounded by it. He envisions a future in which sexual and gender minorities are fully seen, valued, and meaningfully included in the life of the Church, and is committed to helping people discern faithful and hopeful paths of discipleship within the body of Christ.
Heather is a vowed member of the Order of the Common Life and serves as a spiritual director accompanying individuals discerning vocation, identity, and faithful ways of life. In recent years, her work and study have focused on celibacy, spiritual formation, and discernment, with particular attention to helping LGBTQ+/SSA Christians cultivate a deeper and more sustainable vision of love rooted in union with God. Drawing on Scripture, the monastic tradition, and her own lived experience, Heather develops formation resources that integrate spiritual direction, emotional healing, and theological reflection. She is especially passionate about recovering a vision of consecrated celibacy that is so compelling and life-giving that it becomes something people might prayerfully desire, rather than quietly fear.
Bekah serves as Head of Operations for a multi-congregation church in New Hampshire, where she helps shape strategy, systems, and day-to-day ministry across three locations. She has spent the past five years serving on a local church leadership team and regularly preaches, with a deep passion for creating spaces where people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and build meaningful community. Before stepping into ministry leadership, Bekah worked in education and holds degrees and licensure in elementary education, English as a second language, and literacy instruction. Born in the UK and raised in the United States, she brings a cross-cultural perspective to her work and relationships. Outside of ministry, Bekah enjoys skiing, reading, spending time outdoors, and investing in community.
Tyler is a campus minister at Harvard College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He studied government and filmmaking at Harvard for undergraduate students. He is a follower of Jesus, is bisexual, and is filled with a deep passion for LGBTQ+ people to experience the lives of flourishing that are borne out of radical encounters with the love of Christ. He also helps lead a growing Revoice Local Chapter in the Greater Boston area and serves on staff at Aletheia Church, Cambridge.
Jay serves as a mental health nurse practitioner and as an elder in his local church, while El homeschools their four children and serves on the planning committee for the Side B Retreat. Together, they lead a Revoice chapter and mixed-orientation marriage (MOM) group in Columbus, Ohio. Jay and El have been married for 20 years and, during that time, have lived and served the Church across three continents. Through their marriage, ministry, and hospitality, they are passionate about supporting those pursuing faithful Christian discipleship within mixed-orientation marriages and other minority experiences of sexuality. Together, they also enjoy caring for bees—both the six-legged and two-legged kinds.
Peter and Fevronia are Orthodox Christians who have been married for eight years. Fevronia identifies as straight, and Peter uses either gay or same-sex attracted to describe his experience, depending on the audience. Together they parent four children, work in health care, and enjoy crossword puzzles and amateur bird watching. In addition to their involvement in their local Revoice chapter, they have advocated for appropriate medical care for celibate and married Side B Christians. They seek to shed light on the blessings and challenges of pursuing Christ through the vocation of marriage while concurrently supporting all those who share a minority experience of sexuality and are committed to a traditional sexual ethic, regardless of vocation.
Mark serves as Associate Director for Engaged Learning at Baylor University, where he has also helped lead conversations and events related to sexuality and civil discourse. A longtime Revoice attendee, Mark lives in Waco, Texas, where he co-leads the local Revoice chapter. As a celibate bisexual Christian, twin, and person living with a chronic health condition, he brings a thoughtful and embodied perspective to conversations around relationships, intimacy, friendship, and vocation. Mark is a deep thinker and avid reader who has spent many years reflecting on and living out questions surrounding sexuality, celibacy, and faithful community.
Susan holds a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies and serves part-time at her local church. While biblical study is her primary passion, she is especially drawn to discipleship and spiritual formation within the life of the local church. Outside of ministry, Susan is an aspiring runner, enjoys good food, and loves to read.
Isaac is an experienced minister and soon-to-be seminary graduate with a deep commitment to pastoral care and theological formation. Having spent years ministering alongside and within LGBTQ+ communities, he brings both professional training and lived experience to his work. As a proud member of the queer community, Isaac is passionate about cultivating spaces where faith and identity can be explored with honesty, conviction, and grace. His ministry reflects a deep love for Jesus, the Church, and the spiritual flourishing of sexual and gender minorities. Isaac is grateful to participate in Revoice and contribute to its mission of encouraging and equipping LGBTQ+ Christians within the life of the Church.
Ashe is currently studying horticulture and landscaping with the hope of helping others discover joy, beauty, and restoration through nature. They are deeply passionate about cultivating spaces where communities can grow in safety, belonging, and care. Ashe lives in New Jersey in a home shared with lovely queer folks and one cat, and has been in a platonic partnership with their partner, Lindsey, for ten years. In their free time, Ashe enjoys playing The Legend of Zelda, playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, reading, and attempting to learn woodcarving.
Carter is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Leaf Psychiatry, an outpatient practice centered on therapy-forward, integrative care. His work includes supporting sexual and gender minorities as they navigate identity, faith, and meaning, with a focus on helping patients find internal congruence across desire, belief, and identity. He integrates medication management with evidence-based psychotherapy, including Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Carter’s background in emergency nursing and paramedicine shapes his steady, person-centered approach to complex clinical situations. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Wayne State University, where his research examines how linguistic framing shapes experiences of sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts. He teaches and speaks nationally on psychotherapy integration in psychiatric care.
Brandon is a minister and educator committed to sharing God’s unfailing love, abiding presence, and transforming power. He holds a Master of Education from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Divinity from Drew University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at New York University, where his research explores the role of the Black Church in the self-authorship and faith development of Black Christian young adults. Professionally, Brandon serves as Special Advisor for Spiritual Life Education and Outreach at New York University and has held ministry roles across five denominational contexts. He also recently launched Brandon Dunkley, LLC, to support Christians and ministries navigating seasons of transition. Brandon lives in New York City with his wife, Rachel, whom he married in November 2021, and they are currently deciding which dog breed might best suit their apartment life—suggestions welcome.
Steve is the pioneering founder of Found, a ministry in Kenya that creates Christ-centered space for LGBTQ+/SSA individuals to grow in faith and community. Through his leadership, he is helping shape compassionate, biblically grounded ministry in a context where such spaces are rare in Africa. Steve is deeply committed to discipleship, pastoral care, and equipping others to serve faithfully in their local contexts.
Maysa serves as a Co-Lead for the Revoice Twin Cities Local Chapter, where she helps create spaces for honest conversation and faithful engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northwestern, with a comprehensive core curriculum in Biblical Studies and Theology. Maysa is passionate about helping Christians find language to name painful experiences with clarity and integrity. She emphasizes careful listening and curiosity, holding Scripture and personal experience together, to guide hard conversations back toward Christ.
Jean serves as Director of Prayer Strategy at Beyond and is the founder of Freedom for the Captives Ministries. She is also the author of Becoming Whole and a joyful advocate and intercessor for Revoice. During her 24 years serving in Southeast Asia, Jean developed Wholeness Prayer, a ministry rooted in inviting God’s healing and freedom into every area of life. Through this work, she has witnessed lasting spiritual transformation in her own life and in the lives and ministries of many others. Jean is also the mother of Greg Coles.
Brooke is a pre-licensed mental health counselor/drama therapist with a Master's of Theatre with a concentration in Drama Therapy from Kansas State University. The primary populations she works with are kids 10-16 and the LGBTQ+ community across the lifespan, particularly around questions of how to integrate faith, gender, and sexuality. She particularly specializes in the use of tabletop role-playing games as a therapeutic intervention and loves the role card sort as a method of understanding ourselves, our obstacles, and our support system.
Peter works as a head coffee roaster and barista, while also pursuing songwriting, reading, and creative work in the quiet hours of the early morning. He spent four years living in Sydney, Australia, where he studied songwriting and formed many cherished friendships. A coffee connoisseur and self-proclaimed croissant amateur, Peter brings both thoughtfulness and creativity to the communities and conversations he is part of.
Destin serves as a content writer for a marketing agency in St. Louis, Missouri. He is involved with the Canvas Network, a family of microchurches, and helps facilitate a local Revoice chapter, creating space for sexual minorities to experience Christian fellowship. He also writes about spirituality and theology on his Substack and contributes to Revoice’s Our Voices blog, where he reflects on faith, identity, and everyday discipleship.
Ellen and Leo lead two Grace Families Care Groups through their church, where they support Christian parents seeking to faithfully love and walk alongside their LGBTQ+ children. Married for 37 years, they are the parents of two adult children. About a decade ago, their oldest child came out as transgender and asked to be called by a different name and pronouns. Through the support of their pastor, Guiding Families, and a trusted support group, Ellen and Leo began a journey of learning how to honor God while loving their child unconditionally. Today, they are passionate about encouraging and accompanying other parents navigating similar experiences with grace, faith, and enduring love.
Julia is a licensed clinical psychologist and the owner of a private practice in Littleton, Colorado. She is also an author, consultant, speaker, and adjunct professor. Her work includes extensive research and clinical experience in sexual and gender development, with a specialization in trauma-informed care. Dr. Sadusky earned her bachelor’s degree from Ave Maria University and her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Regent University. She has authored several books on human sexuality, including her recent two-book series, Start Talking to Your Kids about Sex: A Practical Guide for Catholics (Ave Maria Press, 2023) and Talking with Your Teen about Sex: A Practical Guide for Catholics (Ave Maria Press, 2024).
Barnabas was raised along the Pacific Rim—Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan—and brings over a decade of ministry experience with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, where his work led him to more deeply explore the theological and philosophical foundations of ministry. He holds an MDiv and is completing a PhD in Theology & Bible at Fuller Theological Seminary, though he remains a practitioner at heart, shaped by the pastoral needs and gifts of those at the margins. Barnabas has directed national conferences for Christian leaders and college students and led cohorts on theology and recovering Scripture for wise living. Outside of ministry, he enjoys singing in a local gospel choir, brewing light-roast pour-over coffee, baking sourdough, organizing Singing Resistance in Pasadena, and continually reflecting on how Christianity might be renewed as a faithful, loving presence in a world marked by division.
Taka, raised on his grandpa's cattle farm in Hawaiʻi, has spent 19 years with a Christian campus ministry learning about balancing humility and strength, justice and grace. A food enthusiast who loves dim sum, shawarma, tacos, and various soups, Taka serves on his organization's LGBTQ+/SSA Employee Resource Group and leads training for campus ministers on LGBTQ+ engagement. An Enneagram 6 and ESFP/J, he embraces complexity and connection. He enjoys gardening, cooking for large groups of people, and taking classes at the Y with a bunch of grandmas.
Jesse is a counselor, barista of eleven years, and a missionary passionate about blending faith and mental health together in a holistic way. Though they were recently expelled from an SBC seminary and unable to complete their counseling degree at this time, Jesse has five years of academic counseling knowledge and over two hundred individual and relational counseling hours with clients. Jesse will be starting with Kairos University to complete their degree next year and will be partnering with Kaleidoscope in NYC this fall to continue pursuing counseling and missions towards the LGBTQIA+ community.
