These workshops create space for deeper learning, conversation, and practical reflection as we seek to follow Jesus faithfully together.

Breakout sessions are an important part of the Revoice conference experience. This year, breakout sessions are organized around three streams that reflect the full arc of Christian discipleship. While each session may touch on multiple areas, these categories help participants explore the many ways faith takes shape in our lives.

  • Foundations of Faith | Workshops that ground LGBTQ+/SSA believers in Scripture and theology—clarifying what we believe about God, the gospel, and faithful Christian discipleship. These sessions help build a durable framework for faith and Christian witness.

  • Flourishing in Faith | Workshops focused on the lived reality of following Christ as an LGBTQ+/SSA Christian. These sessions explore spiritual formation, resilience, community, and faithful presence amid real-world challenges.

  • Kingdom Building by Faith | Workshops that equip participants to serve the church and the world with wisdom and courage. These sessions focus on mission, vocation, spiritual gifts, and servant leadership.

Celebration as a Spiritual Practice

Led by Taka Chan

Celebration is a spiritual discipline! Yet while others are celebrating weddings, baby showers, and more, many LGBTQ+/SSA Christians find their joyful milestones overlooked in church communities. There are lots of ways we can intentionally celebrate one another. This breakout will feature a panel of people who will share stories of how they have celebrated themselves and others.

The Mystery of God Beyond Gender

Led by Jesse White

Scripture commonly uses masculine ways of relating to God—Father, King, Husband. At the same time, we should not overlook the mystery of a God who exists beyond human gender. This session invites participants to reflect on the Holy Spirit, the divine name “I AM,” and Jesus’ incarnation in order to explore new, healing ways of connecting with God beyond gendered language. Drawing on theological reflection and conversations with gender minorities who follow Jesus, we will rediscover the richness and mystery of who God is.

From Margins to Multiplication: Discipleship for LGBTQ+/SSA Christians

Led by Angel Ford

Many LGBTQ+/SSA Christians desire to grow as disciples and help others follow Jesus, yet traditional models of discipleship do not always account for the unique barriers they face. This workshop introduces two simple tools, the Discipleship Square and the Invitation/Challenge framework, and explores how they can be adapted beyond traditional church settings. Participants will gain practical ways to grow in faith, lead others, and participate in building God’s kingdom from wherever they are.

We will be adding more breakout sessions soon—stay tuned and check back for updates.
