WEDNESDAY, JULY 9TH

All times posted are in PDT.

[PRO TIP] Log on early even if you don’t plan to watch at that time so you can fix any tech issues before the opening session.

Log on and enjoy some fan favorite Revoice talks from past years! We’ll be showing a talk from a past conference at the top of each hour.

12 - 4 pm | pre-conference

You don’t want to miss this block. It’ll give you the tools to navigate the rest of your online experience and will offer valuable insights on ways to engage, how to address safety concerns, and where to go for tech support.

5:30 - 6:00 pm | online orientation

One of our favorite elements of our conference is the opportunity for people to get in groups and connect with each other. Community is one of our three main values and we want that to be a part of the online experience as well. We’ll hop on zoom and get a chance to meet in smaller groups to engage and meet new people.

We realize there are different time zones, so whether this is a perfect time for dinner, breakfast, or midnight snack, there will be an opportunity to interact with others online—camera on, or off.

6:15 - 6:45 pm | dinner dialogue

Building For Ourselves | Dr. Wesley Hill
Our community as the survivors of exile, disconnected from the broader church at times, having struggled through our own stories… and now re-discovering hope as the people of God.

7 - 8:30 pm | main session one

THURSDAY, JULY 10TH

[PRO TIP] For those of you who aren’t on Pacific Time and might have missed last night’s session, use some of the space this morning to watch anything you might have missed.

Building For Our Community | Anna Carter
God has chosen some of us to serve in specific, powerful ways. Movement leaders, speakers, culture-setters. Yet EACH of us bears immense power and gifting in the Church.

10 - 11:30 am | main session two

Join our Emcees as they interview one of our speakers. We’ll ask them questions about how they live, love, and laugh…but only in a very Revoice-y way, of course.

12:00 - 12:30 pm | interview

Leading Repentance For Oppressed Peoples | Kavan Rogness
Nehemiah offers us an example of spiritual leadership even while experiencing hardship and oppression. Before Nehemiah set out to build anything–even while living in enforced exile–he spent time in repentant prayer for his own sin as well as the cultural and generational sin of the entire community.

What does it mean to engage in healthy repentance even while experiencing oppression, whether as an individual or a community? Even more, what does it look like for us to be leaders in repentance? Recognizing that the term “repentance” has been misused against our community–and yet is also a central discipleship practice of the Christian faith–we hope to reclaim the practice of healthy repentance for our community.

1:30 - 2:30 | breakout session one

A Simple and Quiet Life: Cultivating Solitude and Silence in a Chaotic World | Avery Rose
What would happen if we transformed our experience of “loneliness” into the vibrant spiritual practice of solitude? Growing a rich practice and posture of solitude enables us to ground ourselves in our belovedness in God, which then deepens our ability to flourish in community. This breakout session will explore the unique joys and challenges of embracing solitude and provide practical ways to begin or deepen your journey in solitude as a spiritual practice.

3:00 - 4:00 | breakout session two
6:15 - 6:45 pm | dinner dialogue

More of the same goodness as yesterday—enjoy this time where you can connect with each other during our dinner dialogues.

7 - 8:30 pm | main session three

Building Together | Julia Sadusky
God has called allies and LGBTQ+ to work together for the sake of the gospel, and the beautiful work God is doing takes all of us. Like neighbors who joined Nehemiah in building the walls, allies should champion this beautiful community, should stand against hatred, and insist on dignity and safety

[PRO TIP] Check in with yourself. It’s easy to get caught up in soaking up all of the content, but it can also be extremely draining. Look over this schedule and note which blocks stand out to you. Prioritize going to those so you can take breaks as needed throughout the rest of the day.

FRIDAY, JULY 11TH

Building in Adversity | Steve Mwendia
Nehemiah faced significant opposition as he sought out God’s work, to the point that they worked with weapons nearby! Side B also faces opposition - human and spiritual - and we need to trust God, continuing to serve faithfully.

10 - 11:30 am | main session four

Join us for another interview as we get up close and personal with one of our speakers. We always look forward to this time of engagement.

12:00 - 12:30 pm | interview

Going from Me to We: A Community Living Panel with Q&A | David Frank & Elena Fultz
What practical steps can we take to build community? If you’ve dreamed of intentionally living in community, but struggled to know how to start, this breakout is for you! We’ve gathered a panel of folks who’ve taken a step (or thirty) on the journey of intentional living, offering you a spark of imagination and some possibilities to consider! Come learn from the failures and fruits of taking the leap of faith into community life. We’ll explore topics like vision casting, finding community members, developing shared rhythms, knowing when not to start a community house, and practicing healthy conflict resolution.

1:30 - 2:30 pm | breakout session three
3:00 - 4:00 pm | breakout session four

Pastoring LGBTQ+/SSA People, from a Gay Pastor | Ray Low
What does it actually look like to provide spiritual care for the LGBTQ+ community? It can be difficult to discern what sexual and gender minorities in our churches are actually asking for. Join Pastor Ray as he shares from some of his own experience being on both sides of the preaching pulpit, and both ends of a coffee chat about what our needs are as gay followers of Jesus. LGBTQ+ friends and family are also welcome to gain insight on the questions that ministers are asking, as well as how to articulate our hopes and dreams for our spiritual families.

4:15 - 4:45 pm | dinner dialogue

Not to overly influence you, but this will be your last chance to hang out with your fellow attendees, at least officially during the conference. We always welcome connections that last past this week. If you want to gather in person with people in your region, email connect@revoice.com.

8:00 - 8:45 pm | live-streamed concert

We’re thrilled that special musical guest Kings Kaleidoscope will be joining us! An alternative rock band incorporating an eclectic range of electric, woodwind, string and brass instruments, their music explores themes that deeply resonate with our community. Honest about struggles with faith while expressing a fervent hope, they give a performance you won’t want to miss.

[PRO TIP] Practice safety while you seek connection! If you connect with another online attendee and want to stay in touch, consider identifying a safe email you don’t mind sharing.

SATURDAY, JULY 12TH
9:00 - 9:30 | prayer

This special session will be guided by a beloved member of our community and will be a space for you to join either quietly or aloud. We know you will be blessed by this time.

Building With God’s Heart | Art Pereira
It’s easy to let our challenges make us jaded, defensive, and bitter; but what does it look like to live with hope as God transforms us? Let’s end with vision and hope - setting our sights on the beautiful things God is building!

10:00 - 11:45 | final session

[PRO TIP] Look for ways long after the conference to stay part of the connections you made and to keep what you took to heart. You know what you need best: whether that’s through getting early access to next year’s conference, finding a local chapter, looking into Reach opportunities, or signing up for a few webinars throughout the year. The conference is once a year, but our engagement with each other doesn’t have to be.
